Live Well
Below your means

Hi Everyone,

Since the beginning of the pandemic in March I have started my day with a walk to the base of Capitol Hill and back to my house.  It’s about three miles.  It’s a great way to get the day started.

The other day when I was walking up Capitol Hill it struck me how much walking up Capitol Hill is like the year we’ve had.  The pandemic and the economic consequences of it are still with us and it sure feels like an uphill struggle sometimes, doesn’t it?  I’m hopeful that you are doing good with regards to both health and finances.  In the realm of finances are you still able to maintain your savings program?  Hopefully your savings includes taking advantage of any retirement programs your employer has set up for you.  Have you been able to control your debt or have you had to borrow a little extra to make ends meet? Remember, the credit union is here for you to help you start that savings program or get a handle on your debt.  I know, the savings rates right now aren’t all that great but it’s still time to keep saving.  Open some CD’s every month and you’ll be surprised at how quickly your savings will add up.  And please call us if you need some assistance with your debt.

We’re all climbing a big hill right now.  Hopefully someday soon we’ll get to the top just like I get to the top of Capitol Hill every morning.

Till Next Time,
Evan Clark, President and CEO
