Live Well
Below your means

Hi Everyone,

I have been making sourdough bread for years and years.  Long before it became a fashionable thing to do.  There are a couple things about making sourdough bread that I really like.  First, it’s very easy to make sourdough bread.  There are just a few steps to it and in total I don’t think they require any more than an hour.  And probably a lot less.  The second thing I like about making sourdough bread is that it takes a long time for the levain and the dough and the proofing to play out.  And at the end of the process you have the most wonderful bread.

Making sourdough bread is so much like personal finance.  Just like sourdough bread there are only a few simple steps to get on track with your personal finance.  Are you paying down your debt every month?  Are you taking full advantage of your employer’s tax advantaged retirement program?  Are you setting aside a little bit every month?  Those are the simple steps it takes to start a successful personal finance program.

There’s one more way personal finance is like sourdough bread.  Even though the steps are easy sometimes it can take a long time to see the results of your efforts.  But just like wonderful bread it’s worth all of the effort.
